meet the artists

Hannah Hubin is a Nashville native who initiated this project as a live concert in spring of 2021 – after spending four years intentionally and consistently praying through Psalm 90 and nine months meeting with fifteen pastors, theologians, priests, rabbis, and professors to study the nuances of Hebrew poetry and draft a live concept album of text. Hannah writes regularly for the Rabbit Room, the Story Warren, and Brown Brink Eastward.

Caitlin Anselmo stepped up as producer of All the Wrecked Light after contributing two songs to the live concert in 2021. Caitlin lives in Nashville with her family where she produces, arranges strings for projects, works as a remote session vocalist, and teaches Suzuki piano lessons.

Dennis Parker is the baritone vocalist and guitarist for Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. He shares a Grammy with his band and the stage with folks such as Lee Ann Womack, Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt, Scott Mulvahill, and others. Still, it’s his storytelling, honesty, and affection for grace that strike his listeners most through albums such as Songs Under the Air Condition Ing Unit.

Cardiff State, formed by husband-wife duo Jaron and Katherine Kamin, presents harmonically-rich singles such as “Manifest Destiny” and “Unhaunted.” Yet this duo’s other project is writing and recording indie-rock hymn settings, and their album Here Among Us includes iTunes’ top-selling “Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise” along with a collection of hymns both new and old – all with a vison for congregational worship.

Ella Mine’s debut album Dream War builds itself around a single question: “How are we to dream, hope, and love again after our first dreams have been crushed, our first hopes dashed, and our first loves ravaged?” And out of her own love and loss, Ella brings every ounce of craftsmanship and courage to her response.

St. Dawn in Slumber is an instrumental piano duo produced by Vian Isak and comprised of Ella (McKelvey) Horn of Ella Mine and her husband Isaac. “In our compositions, we’re pretty much fixated on that elemental space between dusk and dawn.” Introducing their work with singles such as “halflight” and “first blush,” St. Dawn in Slumber is currently recording a 3-EP set inspired by the Greek mythological stories of Astraeus, Eos, and the Anemoi. Yet all of their compositions attempt to reach into the same conceptual space, as Isaac explains: “There’s something magical about those transition times between waking and sleep, darkness and light.”

Wild Harbors, formed by husband-wife duo Chris and Jenna Badeker, is an alternative pop outfit driven by intricate vocal harmonies and the idea of adventure. Their debut album Monument includes “Abigail” and “House on Fire” – named among UTR Media’s top tracks of 2018. For Chris and Jenna, the concept for Monument comes from the Israelite practice of establishing ebenezers of Yahweh’s faithfulness in the past – that his people might live expectantly of his faithfulness in the future. This expectancy lies at the heart of the Wild Harbors project, as Jenna writes, “We want listeners to be able to approach their own stories, their own decisions, and the things before them with some hope and determination.”

Justin Schumacher is a Colorado-born folk singer who draws his influence in writing from legends such as Dylan and Springsteen. He is a craftsman actively and intentionally at work putting beautiful and tasteful music into the world, as evidenced by his EP “Sticks & Stones” and his recent debut album Childish Ways – both driven just as much by their imagery and poetry as by their composition.

Carousel Rogues formed in 2006 in Maryland with Caitlin Anselmo, her husband Zach. Billed as “intelligent pop rock music with classical leanings and a penchant for sparkles” and now based in Nashville, the band has released two full-length albums and, most recently, their 2020 EP “Pete Gets Happy.” Josh Shive describes their songs as “handmade puzzle boxes, intricate constructions featuring melodic electric guitar work from the Anselmos and jigsaw-cut piano parts from Dan Wiley.”

It goes without saying that this entire production would not exist but for the kindness and generosity of the artists and composers and musicians, who have offered their time, creative minds, and the work of their hands to create something I could never have created alone, giving shape and voice to the text.
